Early design concepts.
WiiPiik was a Portuguese startup built around travel experiences and competition-based signups.
The main focus was getting the site ready to launch and making sure the signup flow was clear
enough that people could get through it without much friction.
Mapping user flows across the site.
I worked with the team on the site structure first, mapping out the main user flows and sitemap
before moving into wireframes and page designs. From there it was a matter of working through the
messaging, layout, and overall feel until it struck the right balance between fun, clear, and easy
to move through.
Final site designs ready for handover.
The project moved quickly, so having a component-based setup helped a lot. It meant I could make
changes, test different directions, and keep things moving without having to rebuild pages from
scratch each time.
The site did launch, but WiiPiik ran out of funding not long after and shut down. We didn’t get much time to learn from live users, but the project was still a good lesson in structure, iteration, and getting startup work out the door at speed.
